Sequ-Door Security Window Sliders – SLAM-Lock Protection for Every Window
Compact, easy-to-operate, and custom-built for your window opening – our expandable security window slider delivers enhanced security without sacrificing your view or your ventilation.
Sliding Burglar Bars with SLAM-Lock Convenience
Our expandable security window slider applies the same proven design as our security gate range – tailor-made to fit your specific window opening. Each slider offers a high level of security whilst still allowing you to open it fully for ventilation and unobstructed views – or in the case of an emergency when you need to exit your building. The SLAM-lock feature is a particular advantage in times of emergency: simply slam the slider shut and the mechanism locks instantly, creating an immediate security barrier without fumbling for a key.
Matching the design of our security gate range, the security window slider creates a sense of uniformity throughout your home – with the same powder-coated colour options, the same all-steel construction, and the same no-plastic working components philosophy that eliminates weak spots in your home’s security.

FAQs
What is a security window slider?
A security window slider is an expandable, retractable security product designed specifically for window openings. It works on the same principle as our security gate range but is tailor-made in size to fit your window. It slides open for ventilation and unobstructed views, and can be slammed shut and locked for security – particularly useful in an emergency.
How does the SLAM-lock work on a security window slider?
When you slam the slider shut, the mechanism locks automatically on impact with the lock catch – creating an instant security barrier. This sliding window lock feature means you don’t need to manually engage a lock in an emergency; shutting the slider firmly is all it takes.
Can the security window slider be opened from the inside?
Yes. The slider is designed for everyday use – it slides fully open for ventilation and views, and closes and locks securely when required. Your key or release mechanism gives you control of opening and closing from inside your home.
Will the slider match my existing Sequ-Door security gates?
Yes. The security window slider is designed to match the look and finish of our security gate range, with the same powder-coated colour options and the same all-steel construction. This keeps a consistent, uniform appearance throughout your home.
Can security window sliders be fitted to any window type?
Our sliders are custom-manufactured to your specific window opening dimensions. Contact our team with your measurements and we will confirm the best configuration for your window type and opening.
What makes the security window slider different from fixed burglar bars?
Unlike fixed burglar bars, the expandable security window slider can be opened fully for everyday ventilation and views – making it practical for daily use. It also serves as an emergency exit route when the sliding burglar bars are used across an escape window, provided you have access to the release inside.
What warranty is provided with the security window slider?
Warranties cover major rust, major powder coating peeling, and defective locks. All warranties do not cover misuse or neglect. All defects are subject to verification and care as outlined in our “Security – using and maintaining” document.
Do you provide professional installation of security window sliders?
Yes. Our experienced team will measure, manufacture, and install your security window slider to ensure a perfect fit and reliable operation. We supply, install, and provide after-sales service to make sure you are completely satisfied.
